This month at Lovacott Nursery, we have explored a range of topics, including winter, National Squirrel Appreciation Day, Burns Night, and Chinese New Year.
The children have engaged in various activities, experimenting with colour combinations through pine cone roll printing, exploring ice-related tasks, and even doing some baking!
To celebrate Chinese New Year, the children crafted their own lanterns, practising their scissor skills by cutting strips for the lanterns. They also enjoyed a special Chinese food tasting session, sampling a variety of dishes and experiencing different textures and flavours, including lychee juice! Many children demonstrated great determination while attempting to use chopsticks to pick up their food. In honour of the Year of the Snake, they even made their own paper snake chains!
