We’ve been having lots of autumn fun at Happy Hares Day Nursery, exploring the changing seasons through exciting, hands-on activities!
Exploring the Weather
The children have been learning about different types of weather, discussing sunshine, rain, wind and clouds. We’ve also been exploring what clothing we need for different weather conditions, developing communication skills and understanding of the world.
Scissor Skills
Our little learners have been busy practising their scissor skills, developing hand-eye coordination, concentration and fine motor skills. We’ve also been encouraging independence and learning how to use scissors safely.
Pumpkin Exploration
We’ve enjoyed lots of pumpkin fun, exploring different textures, scooping out seeds and discovering what’s inside! Pumpkin carving has encouraged curiosity, creativity and sensory exploration.
Autumn Leaf Hunts
The children have loved exploring outdoors, collecting colourful autumn leaves and comparing their shapes, sizes and colours. A wonderful way to develop observation skills and an appreciation of nature!
Learning Through Play
All these lovely autumn experiences have supported the children’s confidence, independence and curiosity while encouraging them to explore the world around them.
We can’t wait for more autumn adventures!
