June has treated us to some lovely summery weather with lots of opportunities to explore the countryside around us along with lots of water play to keep cool.
We have joined in the celebrations for the World cup with various activities including making flags, penalty shoot outs and even a world cup themed bloom session.
We had Music week where we explored various sounds and instruments from around the world. We made our own shakers and experienced using all different musical instruments.
We have spent a week looking at beaches, we have discussed our own experiences on the beaches around us. We have also made our own beach outside with the sand and water.
In the last week of June we looked at the story The Scarecrow’s Wedding, we have made our own scarecrow using recycled materials, and explored textures of straw.
