With a week of cold icy windy weather, what better way to learn, than to use this to our advantage.
The children have been busy designing and making kites, ready for their windy adventures in the garden. Such a great way to stay warm in the blustery wind! They extended their play by working as a team to become firefighters. They needed to rescue the stuck kites and carry the heavy fire hose together.
With everything frozen over, the children careful tried to balance on the sculpted ice stepping stones. Risky business before getting physical digging out the sea animals trapped in the icy mounds.
The children have also shown great skill poking spaghetti through the tiny holes in the colander and threading Cheerios. Baking yummy flapjacks and experimenting with milk, food colouring and washing up liquid to make different patterns.
