Hello and welcome to another monthly blog from Happy Hares! This month, we have focused on our emotions, explored the world of mini beasts, and celebrated the festival of Diwali.

In our emotions topic, we discussed our own feelings as well as the feelings of others. We expressed specific emotions through our facial expressions and body language.

During the mini beasts segment, we hosted our very own ‘Happy Hares Bush Tucker Trial’, where we sampled caterpillars (grapes on skewers) and worms (slices of jelly), among other treats! We also embarked on a bug hunt in the nursery garden, discovering all sorts of creatures. We collected a few to observe through magnifiers (rest assured, no mini beasts were harmed during this activity, and all were safely returned to their homes!).

As for Diwali, we learned about the story of Rama and Sita, sang Diwali songs, tried traditional foods typically enjoyed during the festival, created our own diya lamps, explored rangoli patterns, and even had mehndi patterns drawn on our hands. It has
certainly been a busy month!
