This month at Lovacott Nursery, we have covered several engaging topics.
We kicked off with Children’s Mental Health Week, where we encouraged the children to discuss their emotions and feelings, promoting self-expression through play.
We also celebrated Valentine’s Day, allowing the children to unleash their creativity by making cards with various tools, baking Valentine’s biscuits, and exploring sensory trays filled with jelly and ice.
In one of the weeks, we featured “The Gruffalo” as our book of the week, centring all our activities around this beloved story. The children enjoyed our Gruffalo crumble tray, making their own crumbles, crafted Gruffalo masks, and even made Gruffalo Rice Krispy cakes.
As February comes to a close, our focus has shifted to fairytales. The children have been busy crafting their own magic wands, engaging with our Jack and the Beanstalk sensory tray, baking fairy cakes, and participating in numerous other enchanting activities.
It has been another wonderfully busy month here at Lovacott Nursery!
