What an exciting day filled with celebrations for the start of Chinese New Year.
We have had busy hands crafting using paper to create lucky red envelopes, hanging paper lanterns and mark making using paint and cotton buds, taking on our own interpretations Of Chinese writing.
The role play area set up as a Chinese take away and messy play with coloured rice, noodles and chop sticks!
We watched a short children’s BBC clip about all the festive traditions and read some Chinese New Year stories.
What better way to celebrate than to try some delicious Chinese treats for snack and take home our very own fortune cookie.
