What an exciting week at Lovacott nursery. Here are few things we have been up this week….

On Monday we celebrated ‘Burns Night’, commemorating the life of the poet, Robert Burns. We learnt about his Scottish culture, listened to some of his poems and his best known work ‘Auld Lang Syne’. The children found some their favourite nursery rhymes and rhyming stories to read.

We have also explored how textures change when adding bath bombs to our water tray, promoted self care routines whilst washing the babies, completed a science experiment to make white fluffy snow, got creative when making our very own pizzas with a choice of toppings, used our cognitive brains to build puzzles and learn about everyday opposites, built the tallest ‘beanstalk’ ever- using our connecting pegs, discovered dinosaurs in the tuff tray and created Lovacott’s very own ‘musical band’ using all the pots and pans we could find in the garden.

It’s amazing the music we can make!!
